What does ketamine cause if used alone
Alone causes muscle rigidity and could
potentially exacerbate some types of seizures and
tachyarrhythmias.
Indications of ketamine
Painful procedure, hyperalgesia (extreme sensitivity to pain), compensated mitral valve disease
Contraindications of ketamine
Hcm (Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy), dcm (Dilated cardiomyopathy), heart failure, hypertension, tachyarrhythmias (abnormal rapid heartbeat), advanced liver disease, c-section, intracranial disease
Effects of ketamine
Unconsciousness, inc icp (intracranial pressure)

Contraindications of midazolam
Hepatic encephalopathy (loss of brain function when a damaged liver doesn’t remove toxins from the blood), portosystemic shunt (is an abnormal vessel that allows blood from the animal’s intestine to bypass the liver. As a result, toxins, proteins, hormones and nutrients absorbed by the intestines also bypass the liver, circulating throughout the body),
