How The Seizure Medications Work?

A

In general, works by changing the way brain cells (neurons) send messages with substance called neurotransmitters and how signals move in and out of the brain cells (e.g. voltage dependent sodium and calcium channels, SV2A protein, GABA inhibitory neurotransmitter)
- Some of the mechanisms of action are unknown and many of them are not well understood
