5 major battles of civil war
Sumter- General bouregard shelled Sumter for almost 2 days until the fort surrendered (not a single casualty)
Bull run- stonewall Jackson got nickname, union tries to take Richmond va but met by 30000 confer soldiers and defeated
Antietam- lee tries to invade north but lost order found that his troops were spread out and they all met at Antietam (bloodiest battle)
Vicksburg- second part of anaconda plan (capture confederate strongholds on miss river, captured city of Vicksburg
Gettysburg- lee tries to invade north again but stopped, can’t get thru Meade’s strong fishook position
Dawes act
Broke up reservations (160 acres to each head of household and 80 to each unmarried adult)

Sand creek- innocent Cheyenne killed at sand creek reservation
Wounded knee- Sioux rounded up @ wounded knee creek and shot accidentally fired by Indian so our soldiers massacred them
Little Bighorn- aka clusters last stand, Sioux outflanked and crushed clusters troops
