Name the Spheres of the Earth
Lithosphere, Atmosphere, hydrosphere and Bioshpere
What is lithosphere
The land masses on Earth
What is atmosphere
The layers of gases surrounding the planet.
What Is hydrosphere
All the liquid water on the earth’s surface
Biosphere
All living things on Earth
Erosion
The wearing away of the earth’s surface by wind, water or ice.
Salinity
A measure of the amount of salt present in the soil

Greenhouse Effect
The warming of Earth caused by greenhouse gases.
Pollution
The presence in or introduction into the Enviorment of a substance which was harmful or poisonous effects.
Types of pollution
Air, water, soil noise, radioactive, light, heat
Pollution caused by Human activities
Human activities contribute to climate change by causing changes in Earth’s atmosphere in the amounts of greenhouse gases, aerosols (small particles) and cloudiness. The largest know contribution comes from burning fossil fuels.
Human well-being indicators
Fresh water, secure food supply, shelter, clothing, safety, good health, ability to make a decent living, access to education
Renewable energy
Renewable energy is energy that is collected from renewable resources, which are naturally replenished on a human timescale, such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, and geothermal heat
Sustainability
The ability to be maintained at a certain rate or level
Quality of Life
The standard of health, comfort, and happiness experienced by an individual or group.
What is population growth
The increase in the number of individuals in a population.
How does population growth impact the Enviorment
Population growth has had a negative impact on the quality of the Enviorment.
Population growth has put pressure on the agricultural sector.
