What is a sentence complement? Give the 4 complements.
A complement is one or more words in the predicate that complete the subject and verb. The 4 complements are: Predicate nom, predicate adj, direct object, and indirect object
Define predicate nominative
A predicate nominative is a noun or pronoun that follows a linking verb and renames the subject.
Define predicate adjective
A predicate adjective is an adjective that follows a linking verb and modifies the subject.
