mixing with other criminals can influence others to re-offend
many who leave prison find it hard o re-adjust to normal life
what is community payback orders
where a criminal carries out a specific number of hours of manual work in a community, they also participate in groups to help the underlying issue that may have caused them to commit the crime they committed
what is an advantage and disadvantage of community payback
it is cheaper than prison
criminals are still out and about
what is tagging
a plastic tag attached to a criminals ankle or wrist and keeps them restricted for up to 12 hours a day or a maximum of 12 months
what are the advantages and disadvantages of tagging
the criminal can be tracked at all times and its cheaper than prison
may not teach a lesson because they are till free to walk about for half the day and they can commit crimes during the time they are not restricted
