A

GuardDuty performs the collective monitoring and analysis of CloudTrail, VPC flow logs of network traffic, DNS records, and S3 API activity.

46
Q

AWS Inspector

A

monitors and alerts about potential problems with EC2 instances.

47
Q

AWS Macie

A

is responsible for monitoring S3 content and user access.

48
Q

Large Data Migration Manager

A

helps you plan and monitor a large data migration from 500 TB to petabytes of data. Use of the tool is free.

49
Q

AWS Transit Gateway

A

allows 5000 connections and is designed to support a complex hub-and-spoke network. Connection types include VPN, Transit Gateway peering, Direct Connect gateway, VPC attachments, and SD-WAN/third-party network appliances. A transit VPC would also be a solution, although you must manage it and the EC2 instances it contains, so it does not fulfill the requirements. VPC peering does not support a complex hub-and-spoke network.

50
Q

AWS Global Accelerator

A

runs in over 100 POPs (points of presence) worldwide. It uses static IP addresses and anycast addresses as fixed entry points to your applications. Users can gain ingress to the AWS global network from the closest endpoint. Global Accelerator provides fault tolerance, instant failover, and latency-based routing. Route 53 provides some of the same features, although it does not provide all the features of Global Accelerator and would not be the best choice in this case.

51
Q

Amazon CloudWatch composite alarm

A

consists of a set of metric alarms, which are combined using a logical operator (such as AND or OR). The composite alarm evaluates the state of each individual metric alarm and returns a single alarm state based on the combination of the metric alarms.

52
Q

Amazon DynamoDB Accelerator (DAX)

A

is an inline caching engine for DynamoDB that can help optimize read performance. It acts as a write-through cache. As such, all reads and writes are performed to the cache, and all data is always up to date in the cache.

53
Q

Amazon Redshift Spectrum

A

ties directly into Amazon S3 enabling the storage of data on Amazon S3 instead of the Amazon Redshift deployment. Deploying Amazon Redshift Spectrum, Redshift becomes the query engine, but the actual storage layer is Amazon S3 with unlimited storage potential with S3. Using a single Amazon Redshift deployment is incorrect because Amazon Redshift has a storage limitation of 2 PB. And although the other two options are viable, neither one is classified as an AWS data warehouse. Snowflake is a popular third-party data warehouse solution but is not an AWS solution, and it would simply run on EC2 without any management from AWS.

54
Q

Amazon ElastiCache

A

provisions nodes for Redis or Memcached in your VPC. Although it’s a managed service, it is not a serverless compute service.

55
Q

Amazon Timestream

A

is a fast and scalable serverless time series database designed to store and analyze trillions of events per day.

56
Q

Elastic Fabric Adapter

A

provides the best networking performance, much faster than an elastic network interface. Amazon FSx for Lustre does not interface with a placement group for processing. Enhanced networking cannot be enabled in the Linux operating system for EC2 instances.
