Procrastination
An act of delaying doing something you should do.
Delay
To wait before doing something.
Schedule
A plan for when to do things.
Distraction
Something that takes your attention away.
Pressure
Stress or urgency caused by needing to do something fast.
Habit
Something you do regularly, often without thinking.
Pull an all-nighter
Stay awake all night to finish something (usually last-minute).
Kick into gear
Start working hard or fast.
Fall into a trap
Make the same mistake again without realizing it.
Get sidetracked
Get distracted from what you were doing.
Waste time
Spend time doing nothing useful.
Beat the clock
Finish something just before a deadline.
Go off the rails
Lose control or stop following the plan.
Overwhelmed
Feeling like something is too much to handle.
Spiral (downward)
A situation that keeps getting worse and worse.
Reflection
Serious thinking about something.
Guilt
Feeling bad about something you did (or didn’t do).
Reframe
To look at a situation from a new or more helpful perspective.
Insight
A clear understanding of a problem or situation.
Self-control
The ability to stop yourself from doing something unhelpful.
