AO2: noun “wall” probably refers to class divide between them and sheila is urging them not to let that get in the way of accepting responsibility of their actions just because eva was lower class
. still uses the demonstrative prounoun “that” and the noun “girl” to refer to eva as if she’s still subconsiously putting a wall between them as maybe she feels too much guilt if she fully humanises eva.

“loved it” - shes taking the piss out of him

. makes her seem more moral
context: would’ve been seen as impolite to judge the actions of your elders/ parents and seen as disrespectful so shows that she has morals as she will stand up for what she thinks is right
