The Greeks approached science in an organized way and concluded that their were 4 elements namely, water, earth, fire, and air. Alchemists were scientists that had the goal of producing gold out of everything and anything. In the process, they did establish and their ultimate goal was to prod laboratory techniques and equipment.

Heterogenous mixtures have two or more distinct regions called phases. Differing to this, homogeneous mixtures only have one phase called a solution.

Physical property: Tells how a substance is by itself. They can be measured without changing the substance into another substance.

Chemical properties show how a substance acts or reacts in the presence of another material. For a chemical property to become apparent the material must change.
