What does it mean to confess our sins?

A

It means admitting that we are sinful and broken and asking God to forgive our sins.

What sins do we confess?

A

Commission and omission. We confess the sins we remember, and we ask God to forgive the sins we may not remember or realize as well.

Do we all have sin?

A

We are born sinful. We are not sinful because we sin. We sin because we are sinful.

Can I only confess my sins in church?

A

No. We can ask God to forgive our sins wherever we are and whenever we feel convicted of sin.

Who forgives sin?

A

a. Only God forgives sins, however God has given the Church (All Believers) the Office of the Keys. Any Christian can do this, but the Church asks Pastors to do it publicly and to promise to keep all confessed sins confidential.
