Skeletal And Muscle Flashcards
(5 cards)
1
Q
What is skeletal muscle composed off?
A
Elongated, multinucleate cells called muscle fibres also called striated muscle because they
have a banded/striated appearance
2
Q
Connective tissue components of skeletal muscle?
A
Tendon- dense regular CT: attaches to bone
Epimysium- dense irregular CT: surrounds anatomical muscle
Perimysium- dense irregular CT: surrounds muscle bundles or fascicles of (10-100 muscle fibres)
Endomysium- aerolar CT: surrounds each muscle fibre
3
Q
What are muscle fibres/monocytes/cells made of?
A
Myofibrils
4
Q
What is CNS consist of?
A
Brain
Spinal cord
Optic nerve
5
Q
What does Peripheral Nervous System consist of
A
All nervous tissue outside CNS
- Sensory/afferent division - info to CNS
- Motor/efferent division- info from CNS to organs (muscles/glands)
