someone who is someone else’s legal property and is forced to do manuel labor

when you give a country or a person something and they give you something equally valuable
what is slave trade
when people sell humans to other country’s as slaves
why did european settlers in america want slaves
they wanted slaves to make fortunes and get new valuables form other countries. they also wanted slaves to do the work for them
how were enslaved people sold
at an auction or scramble
what is an auction
they would stand on a box and let people bid for them. those who were unhealthy and did not sell were left to die without food or water
what is a scramble
buyers would pay the slave strader an agreed amount of money they would be given a ticket then the cage would be opened and they would rush in and get their slave
