Can combine many compounds of fitness.
A good source for all around fitness.
Include both aerobic and anaerobic exercises

Circuit needs to be set up and well planned out and it is important to work hard and each circuit, but people pace themselves
Interval training
Physical training involving alternating stages of high, low-intensity activities

-Includes the repeated sprints, which is anaerobic

-includes repetitions of high-quality work that can get the heart rate nearly up to max
Plyometric
Plyometric training exercises, where muscles use maximum force in short intervals of time

Exercises can be designed for specific performances.

Need knowledge of your event or a coach
Need to progress gradually as the rest of the recovery are important
Weight training
Involve shifting weight to increase strength of the muscle using a program of exercises

-Wide variety of exercises to choose from.
-Program can be specific to muscle group.
-Easy to monitor progress and overload

Need suitable facilities and equipment.
