What is social engineering??
A method used by individuals to manipulate or deceive people into divulging confidential information that they wouldn’t divulge under normal circumstances.
What is Phishing?
The sending of fake emails , messages , or websites that appear to be from trusted sources , aiming to trick recipients into revealing sensitive information like passwords , credit card no’s or personal details .
What is Pretexting?
The creation of a fabricated scenario or pretext to gain a victim’s trust and extract information.eg. impersonation
What is Baiting?
Offering something enticing in exchange for information or actions to benefit the attacker.
What is Tailgating ?
This is when an attacker following an authorised person into a secured area, relying on the victim’s courtesy .
What is Quid Pro Quo?
Attacker s promising something in return for information or access.
