Quietist

If C view that the ‘kingdom of heaven’ = primarily ab. Another world - tendency to accept the sinfuland distorted nature of Soc - resignation leads to inaction - everything left to god and shouldn’t engage in social or political action

Q

Activist

A

If kingdom of god = build in this world and live out in their Ind and communal lives - more likely to engage with soc and direct attempt to change it - gospel reg. Ines. And churches to engage with the world esp help the poor and sick
E.g. street pastors - Christian adn part of local church - con. For soc and local commas and willing to engage with people whatever their perspective e.g. make sure drunk ppl are safe

Measuring secularisation through measuring attendance @ public actors of worship - on this means soc. looks like become more secular
BUT even ppl who dont attend church mat feel attach and ownership of church building - less sec than expected
