What does socialism view on society?
Socialist traditionally place a greater emphasis on the importance of society rather than the indivudal. As long as the society ini which they live is supportive they can live succesfully and harmoniously.
What do they believe about capitalism?
They believe it is expolitative encourages greed and entrenches inequality . It is a waste of resources and cheaper energy encourages the desturction of natural environements .
What do they believe about democracy?
it is illusionary
What do they want for society?
want to remould society and redistribute resources in order for greater inequality
What are the three types of socialism?
communism
social democracy

What do they say about human nature?
We are designed to be social and cooperate and that competition is not natural
What is revolutionary / fundamental sociaism?
marx was the most prominent of this . They believed that it was nautre of capitalism to expolit labour and create inequality . He aruged the problems were insoluble and capitalism should be abolished and may need a reveloution to do this
What was reformist / revisionist socialism?
giving the vote to the working class and if they can vote they will vote for socialism and it will be a worker dominated state and could modify capitalism . Such as new labour went further to accepting capitalism to create wealth
Early origins of socialism?
during the 17th century liberalism supported private property but one group of anti monarchists argued that god had given land to all of mankind yet due to some peoples greed they acquired the land for themselves . In the 18th century Jean jacques wrote a book suggesting that wars horrors and murder was all due to private property greed and competition. In the 19th century socialism was first applied and offered a radical response to the growing capitalism when the indsturilisation began it became taken seriouysly as an idea .

liberalism was popular with the key focus of private land but one group of antimonarchs argued that god has given land to all of mankind. And due to the greed of people they acquired all the land

socialism was first applied and offered in a radical response to capitalism when industrilisation became a big thing it was taken serisouly
