Idea that : personal values should not intrude on research - BUT it is impossible to keep them out
- people can’t help but to have values in their research
- Link to webber and Kuhn - post modernist approach

A
The idea that : Values should guide sociological research
-E.g. critical / radical sociologists ( marxist/feminists ) hold clear value and unite for a fit purpose
