Compound words (explain)
“Bücherregal” is a compound word.
“Regal” is the root word.
The root word determines the article of the compound word: The word at the end of the compound determines:
- gender: masculine, feminine, or neuter
- number: singular or plural
die Bücher + das Regal = das Bücherregal

How do you indicate intensity of adjective?
Indicating intensity with “zu” + adjective
