What is the difference between a lipoma and a liposarcoma? What is a lipoblast?
Lipoma is a benign tumor of adipose tissue while liposarcoma is a malignant adipose tumor. Most common tumors in adults in their respective categories. lipoblast is a characteristic cell of LIPOSARCOMA.
What is the difference between a rhabdomyoma and a rhabdomyosarcoma? What is a rhabdomyoblast and what does it stain positive for? What is the most common site for rhabdomyosarcoma? How about in young girls?
Rhabdomyoma is a benign tumor of skeletal tissue while rhabdomyosarcoma is a malignant tumor of skeletal tissue. Rhabdomyoblast is the characteristic cell of rhabdomyosarcoma and is DESMIN positive. Most common site is the head and neck. Vagina is the classic site in young girls.
What is cardiac rhabdomyoma associated with?
Tuberous sclerosis which is a neurocutaneous disorder characterized by numerous benign hamartomas.
