Software designed to perform specific tasks or applications for the user.

Snapchat, Zoom, Messenger, Facebook, Discord and Whatsapp.

Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

Minecraft, Fortnite, Roblox, Brawl Stars and Spotify.
What is a System Software?
Software that manages and controls hardware so that the application software can perform tasks.
What is a Browser?
A Browser is a software application used to access and view websites on the internet. For example, Chrome, Safari and Firefox.

A search engine is a software system used to search for information on the website by typing in keywords or phrases. For example, Google and Bing.
What is a program?
A program is a set of coded instructions used to perform a specific task or function.
What is an app?
An app is a shortened term for application and typically refers to software designed for mobile devices or specific task.
What is an operating system?
An operating system manages hardware, software resources and provides common services for computer programs.

What is the main difference between System Software and Application Software?
System software is used for operating computer hardware whereas application software is used according to the user applications.

Data Manipulation, Resource coordination and Information Management.

An antivirus Software protects against malware and cyber-attacks. For example, Norton and McAfee

Software is written in high level programming languages like Python and Java.
