Define Incident Action Plan SOG 3-05
A strategic plan developed by: • Evaluating conditions. • Developing tactical approaches. • Identifying available resources. • Preparing assignments. It is based on three tactical priorities: • life safety • Incident stabilization • Prevention of further loss and preservation of property
The size up and information collected shall be used to develop and incident action plan.
This shall reflect tactical priorities of the fire ground bearing in mind Hazard risk assessment and or Risk vs reward evaluation.
The plan must be
- Communicated with clear objectives
- Allow for flexibility
- Constantly evaluated
- Updated

Management of offense/defense decision by the incident commander this critical decision: • regulates operational control • establishes objectives • set priorities • allocates resources

- First alarm apparatus go directly to the scene
- Second alarm proceed to level 1 staging
- Level 2 staging is for large incidence
- The first truck a level 2 staging is the staging officer
- All apparatus to check in with staging officer
