Answer 1

No. And need to wear the appropriate type and level for the incident

What can we wear on EMS calls?

Answer 2

EMS/Wildland pants, Class B pants (if no biohazard), No structural PPE (unless donned already from another call or training), BSI kit.

Question 3

What do we wear for fire suppression?

Answer 3

Bunker coat and pants, Structure fire boots, Helmet, Hood, Structure fire gloves, SCBA

Question 4

What do we wear on Auto accidents and extrications?

Answer 4

Structural PPE without SCBA, BSI kit, Traffic safety vest, Extrication gloves can be used instead of structure gloves, Safety glasses (EZ flips)

What do we wear on wildland fires?

EMS/Wildland pant and wildland coat, wildland helmet, fire shelter, leather gloves, 8” leater boots with a lug sole

Structure PPE is minimum level PPE for initial response and line of sight rescue. Substance specific PPE (determined by trained personnel)

Station uniform with PFD at a minimum (if within 10’ of waters edge), Ice rescue suits if performing a rescue
