In a Presidential government, each branch is independent and coequal. In a Parliamentary government the Executive and legislative branch work closely together. Both Parliamentary and Presidential both use Representative Democracy, and both are ruled by some form of a constitution.

What is the difference between an absolute monarchy and a constitutional monarchy?
In an absolute monarchy, the monarch has absolute power and no limitations. In a constitutional monarchy, the monarch is controlled by a constitution and the monarch must share power.

Compare and contrast federal and confederal governments
In a federal government, power is shared between a central agency and local governments, and an authority superior to both the central agency and the local governments makes the division of power. In a confederal government, member states join to form a government, and a conferral government only has powers given to it by the state government. They both have a superior authority that guides the government.
