To Have vs To Take vs To Give
To have: Tener=To have (tengo, tenga ten”ay”mos. To take= llevar(carry) or tomar (consume, use etc) To give = Dar. Yo doy, Tu das, El/usted da, nosotros damos.

Tomar means take usually in the following senses:
MOSTLY means to consume, drink, ansorb etc
Think of eating a toe with sea water(mar) on it OR drinking a mix or toe and sea water OR absobing toe and sea water into you like a sinking boat would:
Take a drink: Toma esta bebida.
Take a pill:. Toma una pildor. (or pastilla)
Take some air: Toma algo aire fresco.
Take /eat your bkfast in your room
