A
  1. Articulation - Diction, Pronunciation, Enunciation (The way yo pronounce your words)
  2. Inflection - Change of pitch or tone
  3. Projection - Placement of the voice so as to be understood. (a. Throw voice out to audience; b. Breath from diaphragm.)
  4. Body language - Use facial expressions, gestures, posture, and eye contact)

What are the elements of good speech? (Second 4)

A
  1. Filler Words - Do not want in speech; small words or sounds used to fill pauses. (ahh, umm, and, so, etc.)
  2. Rate - Speed, pause, word grouping (Pauses could change meaning)
  3. Volume - How loud or soft you speak (Good to make variation)
  4. Eye Contact - Looking into people’s eyes when delivering a speech. (Self-confidence, Honesty, Respect)
