Q

Describe why Plymouth was settled. Name a leader or group of people who settled the area, where it was and the purpose for settling.

A

Plymouth was settled by the Pilgrims who wanted freedom to practice their own religion. The king of England was forcing them to worship at the Church of England. They took the Mayflower over from England and settled in what is now Massachusetts. They would not have survived without the help of Squanto and other indians teaching them how to raise crops and showing them where to fish.
