When are the local and general elections?
Local Elections is every 3 years.
General Elections is every 5 years.
What is the venue called on Election Day?
The venue for Election day is call the Polling Station.
What is the correct name for voters on Election Day?
Voters are called Electors on Election day.
How do electors cast their votes?
Electors cast their vote by placing the x stamp next to the candidate name of choice on the ballot paper.
What are the opening and closing time for polling stations?
6 a.m. - 6 p.m. no later ,no earlier
Who can vote after 6 pm ?
Someone can vote after 6 pm if they was already in the line before 6pm.
Green line duties on polling day?
Receive and assist electors who has ID and Poll card. However if elector doesn’t have poll card one will be provided.
Red line duties on polling day ?
Receive and assist elector without ID and has other issues .
How many candidates can an elector vote for? How many times can they vote?
An elector can only vote once and chose only one candidate.
Who is the candidate during electoral process?
The candidate is the person who is going to be voted in power.
