Findings of Schaffer and Emerson?

A

Identified their four stages of attachment. Found that between 25-32 weeks, 50% of infants displayed separation anxiety to a primary attachment figure, usually the mother. By 40 weeks, 80% had a specific attachment, and 30% displayed multiple attachments.
