1
Q

AMPPRO & AMPnoPRO

A
  • Amputee mobility predictor
  • designed to measure ambulatory potential of lower-limb amputees with and without prosthesis
  • High intra and inter-rater reliability
    AMP range: 0-42
    AMPnoPRO range: 0-38

Q

Components to AMPPRO & AMPnoPRO

A
  • sitting balance, sitting reach
  • transfers
  • sit to stand, sitting down
  • standing balance, single leg standing balance (difficult!)
  • standing reach, picking object off floor
  • nudge test (to sternum x3)
  • gait initiation, step length, foot clearance, turning
  • variable cadence
  • stepping over obstacle
  • stairs w/o hand assist ideally

Q

Two minute walk test

A
  • high inter and intra-rater reliability
  • measures distance walked in two minutes
  • lower in amputee patients than healthy older adults d/t much slower gait speed
  • MDC = 34 m or 113 ft for amputees

Q

Timed up and go test

A
  • walk 3 m and turn around, walk back and sit down
  • high inter and intra-rater reliability
  • avg time = 24.5 sec
  • longer than normal older community dwelling adults (15 sec)
  • normal is <12 sec

Q

Six minute walk test

A
  • high interrater reliability
  • moderate correlation with TUG and one-leg balance for sound leg and prosthetic leg (faster TUG = greater distance walked)
  • MDC = 58 for elderly adults

Q

The L test

A
  • 20 meter test with 2 transfers and 4 turns
  • similar to TUG
  • high inter and intra-rater reliability
  • MDC = 3 sec can see large changes w/ this test
  • high correlation with walk test and moderate with self-report measures

Q

Comprehensive high-level activity mobility predictor (CHAMP)

A
  • high inter and intra-rater reliability
  • consists of:
    1. single limb stance
    2. edgren side step test
    3. T-test
    4. Illinois agility test
  • good for high functioning high level amputees
  • TT performed better than TF and bilateral amputee patients; longer single leg stance, greater distance, and faster *
Score of 33 points = within range of service men without lower limb loss
