Statistical Tests Flashcards
(3 cards)
1
Q
What is X²
A
Chi squared is used to compare expected and observed values of data in catagories to see if there is a significant difference between them
2
Q
What is the null hypothesis
A
That there will be even distribution, and will be no significant difference between the values.
Any differences is likely to be by chance
3
Q
What should the expected value be in chi squared if not given?
A
It would be the total of the observed frequency, divided by the number of catagories. Each one should be the same unless stated otherwise
