Science that deals with the improvement of the well-being of individuals, family and the society at large.
It is a broad field of study that deals with all aspects of family life and issues that relate to the family.
As a diversified field of study, it involves education & research in many different areas: food & nut, clothing & text., hime mgt, family r&nshps, consumer education, child dev & care, housing and furnishing.
A professional H/Econs teacher is
sm that is a qualified teacher as well as a qual. H/Economist

A qual. teacher has at least both the min. academic qualifications for teaching and the proper training of pedagogy.
