2
Q

Define Repeatability

A

The ability of an experiment to produce the same or very, very similar results for multiple runs/experimentors. This determines the reliability of the experiment and the data gained from it.

Q

Empirical Formula?

A

A formula that shows the simplest ratio of elements present in a compound

(in other words, the model used by many compounds of that type. Carbohydrates are an example of this.)

Molecular Formula?

A

Formula that shows the actual number of each element in a compound

Ex: Glucose, a type of carbohydrate, has an empirical formula of CH2O and a molecular formula of C6H12O6.
