ROM
ROM stands for read only memory. It is non volatile, meaning when a power supply is disconnected, the memory does not erase itself. As it is read only the contents cannot be altered by the user.

The amount of memory a computer can store in its memory are measured in
bytes.
Kilobyte (Kb) = 1000b
Megabyte (Mb) = 1000 Kb
Gigabyte (Gb) = 1000Mb
Terabyte(Tb) = 1000Gb
Is the ability for the government to store all sorts of personal data about us an advantage or disadvantage of of being able to store large amounts of data?
It’s a disadvantage.
The ability to store large amounts of data on a small device make it easier for thief’s to take large amounts of data with ease.
Why is a USB memory stick good for transferring data quickly and easily?
It is small and lightweight, they have large storage capacities and are not subject to scratches like optical media.

What are the advantages of using magnetic storage cartridges to take backups from a system
They have huge storage capacities, so are ideal for taking daily and weekly backups of a personal computer or a server network
