What is History ?
History is the study of the events ,people and their lives in the past.
Why do we study history ?
we study history to gain knowledge bout the past. To know about the important events that took place earlier and to know about the important people of the past.
What is a Palanquin ?
Palanquins are means of transport that resemble a large box and are used to transport 1 person.

Features that belong to a particular group, community or society such as traditions, beliefs and languages that are inherited from the past
What is a Period ?
The long stretches of time into which history is divided into are called periods
How is history divided ?
History is divided according to the division of time into months or years
What do we learn from history ?
We learn about the growth and development of our society from history . We learn about the important events and achievements of people who have contributed towards the development of our country and the world from society.
Why is it necessary to divide history ?
To make it easier to study about a particular time in the past, it is necessary to divide history.
Into how many periods has history been divided ?
History has been divided into three periods :-
1) Ancient Period
2) Medieval Period
3) Modern Period
What is the Ancient period ?
Ancient period refers to the very old time in history, there are very few sources available to us to learn about this time.
What is the Medieval period ?
Medieval period refers to the middle period in history. More sources are available to learn about this period
