When does the stratosphere start ?
Just after the troposphere, which is 10 miles above the earths atmosphere.
What is the special type of oxygen called ?
Ozone
What is the purpose of ozone?
It cuts off many of the harmful burning UV rays to protect life on earth.
How thick is the ozone layer ?
1/8 inch, which is also 3.1 mm thick
what are the 2 types of UV rays ?
Long and short.
Which of the out of the 2 UV lights are deadly ?
The Long are the is the one that is deadly, and there are the ones that get absorbed and neutralised by the ozone belt, so the don’t harm, life on earth.
what would happen if the long UV rays would come though the ozone belt ?
It would blind and blister the human race and soon will destroy all life on earth.
Which UV rays are necessary to life ?
The short UV rays are necessary to life.
what would happen if the belt was too thick and the short rays wouldn’t come though ?
- We would all die form rickets.
2. We would lead to algae build up which would lead to endless flooding.
Why is the ozone layer just the perfect thickness to life on earth ?
- If it was too thick will would all die from rickets because the ozone layer would have been too thick and we would lack vitamin D and get rickets.
- If it was too thick again, we would have world flooding because of the algae build-up in all the streams and lakes
what can grow, but only in moderation ?
Algae is needed on earth, and only around to grow in moderation.
What is poisonous to human beings ?
The ozone layer is poisonous to human beings but is only a small amount and is so high above the earth’s surface about 20 -40 miles. so it is quite harmless to us
what are angels to us ?
Angels are our protections
why don’t we see the angels full glory ??
We would probably be struck down, by their glory and our sinful state.
When has God occasionally aloud the angels to show a tiny view of heavens glory ?
On the hills of Bethlehem, when Jesus was born.
