What does media ownership (assumed owned by rich white men) have to do with stereotypes?
They create them & present other groups very stereotypically as they often have little experience of them
How are ethnic minorities represented in newspapers and why?
In a very negative way, probably bc the producers have v little knowledge on them and come from white, privileged backgrounds
Why are ethnic minorities and women represented as vulnerable and weak?
Bc there’s v little of them in higher power, therefore they’re seen as this and then represented as this
