it is a group of people that seek control of the government through the winning elections and the holding of political office.
what is the purpose of a political party?
It is to nominate people to public office, generate money for party agenda and to aid in elections.

It began because of the ratification on the constitution.

Is a system in which several major and many lesser parties exist, this is the most common system in the world.
what is a one-party system?
a single political party forms the government and no other parties are permitted to run candidates for election.

voluntary, any religion and any age.

This is a party with one concern of public matters, an example is marijuana party’s and the right to life party.

They beleived in the expansion of slavery
what did the know-nothing party beleive in?
They didnt like immigration.
What did the right to life party not like?
They did not like abortion.
What is a split partyl, with example?
A split party is when a person from a major party leaves and makes their own party/group. Examples- the tea party in 2010 and the bull moose party of teddy roosevelt.
what is the graph thing called
It is called a political spectrum, and when you go right on it you are republican and when you go left on it you are democrat. The further you are on one side the more you are of that party.
