(77 cards)
What are the leading edges of slats made of?
Aluminium due to erosion
Where is the first station?
100 inches or 2540mm
What is the lights off philosophy?
If its on, the light is turned off
What does a blue light indicate?
Normal operation of a temporary system
What does the green light indicate?
Normal operation of a backup system
What does a white light indicate?
Deactivated system
What is EIS and what is included in it?
ECAM and EFIS
Where is the master warning and master caution located?
Located on the glareshield
What do Red and Amber lights mean?
Red - Immediate action
Amber - Failure but no immediate action
What is the purpose of EFIS?
Basic flight parameters
What is the purpose of ECAM?
Display flight parameters, faults, checklist, system status
What is the main aircraft power source?
IDGs
- 2 per engine
- Provides constant speed with varying engine speeds
What is an SDAC and what does it do?
SDAC = System Data Aquisition Concentrators
- Recieves data from the A/C systems and sends it to the Display Management Computers (DMC) to display on the ECAM
What is the two main parts of the Engine Warning Display (EWD)
EWD
- Upper area = Fuel On Board (FOB) and Slats/Flaps
- Lower area = Caution messages, warnings, memos
What are the two main parts of the System Display (SD)
SD
- Upper area = System pages and diagrams of systems
- Lower area = display permanent data
What is the Centralized Fault Display System (CFDIU)?
Centralizes and memorizes all info relating to system failures on the MCDU (Multipurpose Display and Control Unit).
- REPORT CAN ONLY BE PRINTED ON GROUND
What does Split Operation mean on AC power sources?
Never connected in parallel
What is the sequence of power distribution to buses?
Gen 1, AC bus 1, TRU, DC bus 1, DC Batt bus.
Which generator supplies the two essential buses?
Gen 1
- AC ESS is fed by AC bus 1
- DC ESS is fed by DC bus 1
What do the essential buses do?
Supply the most critical aircraft systems
In the event of an emergency, what supplies the electrical power and how?
The EMER GEN
- Needs hydraulic power via the blue system RAT
When does the RAT drop automatically?
In case of the loss of AC BUS 1 and 2
Where can battery voltage be monitored?
Overhead panel or ECAM ELEC page
Will the activation of the red guarded RAT switch deploy the RAT with no aircraft electrics?
Yes
