Ayah 48

A

After reminding them of the blessings in the previous Ayah, Allah is now warning the People of the Book of what their situation would be like on the Day of Judgment if they continue to persist in their rejection and disbelief. On that day there would be no one to help or assist them, no intercession would be accepted from them and no compensation would be able to save them.
