SYS 4 Flashcards
HYD “PRESS” light:
System pressure too high or low.
HYD “FAULT” light:
w/ T - Hi Pump Temp
w/ L - Low Pump Pressure
HYD RMP’s commanded off when:
HYD RESV < 1 Gal
ADG released in HYD mode
HYD SYS with < 2.5 gal =
“SYS OFF” for “LOW QTY in cruise flight.
HYD SYS with < 1 gal=
“SYS FAIL”
How do you early terminate a HYD Pressure test?
Re-press the “HYD PRESS TEST” switch.
HYD Engine Driven Pump tests when?
During engine start when the fuel lever is raised.
Max Spoiler extension on ground:
60 Degrees
Max Speedbrake extension in flight:
30 degrees plus bank assist.
Speedbrakes locked out when:
Flaps Extended
Can extend flaps with speedbrakes out but will receive Level 1 Alert “RETRACT SPD BRK”
Yaw Damper dispatch requirements:
Must have both (2) Yaw Damp channels from common FCC.
LSAS dispatch requirements:
Must have both (2) LSAS channels from common FCC.
LSAS “ON” when:
A/P Off and:
- < 2 lbs of pressure on the yoke
- < 30 degrees of bank
Parallel Rudder disengages when:
Slats retract, or
Roll Mode change.
Slat Stow switch light function:
Slat Inhibit.
- Will not retract slats once deployed, only inhibits slats from extending.
If flaps are not in the landing range (35/50) you lose:
3 AUTO’s
- No AUTO Throttle Retard @ 50’
- No AUTO Ground Spoilers deployment until NLG on ground, then 60 degrees.
- No AUTO Brake System (Manual Brakes Only)
Disarm ABS
Push Pedals
Turn Switch Off
Throttle 1 & 3 > 5 degrees of travel
Disengage ABS
Spoiler handle forward (doesn’t disarm, will redeploy if spoiler handle moved aft again.
Landing Gear Red Light
NOT down and locked with handle down
In Transit, or
NOT in agreement with gear handle, any unsafe condition exists.
Gear Handle Release Button..Allows Handle to move to the UP position:
Ground Shift Mechanism has failed.
Gear Handle Release Button…Does not release handle:
Bogie Trim has failed.
Gear Warning Horn cannot be silenced when:
Gear Up and Flaps in Landing Range.
With HYD 1 or 3 failed, what are the NWS turn limitations
Turns are limited to 25 degrees in the direction of the failed system.
If FO fails to get a green indication on Aileron flight control check, what’s next.
Captain may try check from his position. If no green both crew members may try together. If at any time the box turns green, the check is acceptable. If no green, return for maintenance.
