Q

How do we taste?

A

-transduction happens as soon as you put food in your mouth because we have receptors on tongue, palate, mucus lining of cheeks, lips, throat, tonsils.
-on the tongue: papillae are the bumps containing the taste buds which have between 50-100 receptor cells (short life span - they regenerate)
