Give experiments that may be done to show which receptor codes for a taste:

Measure the licking frequency of water deprived wild type and taste cell-type knock out models. Add a bitter molecule to the water. If receptor binds molecule should see a distinction in the licking index between the two groups.
May also express an opiate receptor in taste cells and add opiate agonist to water. Licking index should decrease.
