What exemptions exist for carrying the Journey log onboard during flight?

A

Flight training units may get exemptions if the flight starts and ends at the home base.

Additionally, if aircraft does not shut down at a location other than the point of departure, journey log may not be required.

Air balloons may fly without a journey log, as long as it can be easily accessed before and after flight

A

If aircraft owner transfers title of an aircraft, airframe, engine, propeller, or appliance, to another person they should also deliver all technical logs that relate to that aeronautical product to the person
