The plates that make up the crust of the earth.
What is a topographic map?
A map that shows elevation by using circles. The smaller the circle the higher the point.
What is a physical map?
A map that shows elevation by using colors.
What is direct democracy?
When the people vote themselves for a law or leader.
What is representative democracy?
When a leader makes decisions for the people
What is government?
The group in charge of a group of people. EX: countries, states, households, communities, cities, towns, etc.

When humans have changed something so that it doesn’t look natural. It looks man-made

To gain the peoples trust and make them think that you will make things better

The demilitarized zone

When a group of people overthrow the current ruler

A country that has isolated itself off from the rest of the world.
Where do people live in Japan?
The flatter less mountainous areas that are easier to farm and build on. EX: TOKYO
What are the names of the four main islands of Japan?
Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyshu.
Why is defecting/escaping North Korea so hard?
There is military everywhere and you are being tracked wherever you go.
How do you calculate PHYSIOLOGIC population density?
People divided by the arable land

Convergent - tectonic plates move towards each other.
Divergent - tectonic plates move apart.
Transform - tectonic plates slide past each other.
