Open the bonnet and tell me how you check there is a safe amount of hydraulic brake fluid
Must be kept in between The high and low mark And find out what fluid is required in the car manual
Open the bonnet and tell me how you check the engine has sufficient coolant
Look at the levels on the radiator header tank
If it’s low, fill it up with water and antifreeze mix
Open the bonnet and tell me how you check the engine has sufficient oil
Remove dipstick and wipe it clean
Put it in the holder, then take it back out
Oil level should be between the high and low marks

Check that the main beam alert is on the dashboard

Check it has no cuts or buldges
Must have at least 1.6mm of tread depth across middle three quarters of tyre, and around entire outer circumference

Rigid part is as high as eyes or ears
Close to back of head and comfortable
Tell me where you’d find the cars recommended tyre pressure, and how you’d check each tyres pressure
Look in the cars manual, and use a reliable pressure gauge
Tell me how you’d check the brakes are working before starting a journey
Press the brake pedal, shouldn’t feel spongy or slack
If they are working properly, car shouldn’t pull to one side
