-Used to harvest the largest portion of the AAC
-Must produce 5 year forest dev. plans
-Must apply for cutting permits
-Pay stumpage
-awarded based on applications that demonstrate greatest social values, including manufacturing.

-Must include 5 yr forest development plans
-Must present cutting permits
-Must pay stumpage on crown timber
-annual rent of 45 cents per m3/yr

A

Area based

-Same as a TFL but designed to promote greater public involvement in forestry and bring more small private holdings under sustained yield.
-Awarded to applicant that demonstrates highest ability to manage land to a high level of stewardship while addressing social need and benefit

3 types

A

-issued to those who are in occupation of crown land for purposes other than harvesting but need to remove timber.
occupant license - for purpose other than resource exploit.
Master License - oil gas and mineral exploration
Forestry License to cut - for silvicultural and other forestry purposes other than harvesting timber
