United Nations
Is an intergovernmental organization established 24 October 1945, to promote international co-operation.
Declaration of Human Rights
Is a declaration adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 10 December 1948 at the Palais de Chaillot, Paris.
Violation
The action of violating someone or something.
Refugee
A person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster.
Holocaust
Destruction or slaughter on a mass scale, especially caused by fire or nuclear war.
Concentration Camp
A guarded compound for the detention or imprisonment of aliens, members of ethnic minorities, political opponents, etc.
Secretary General
The head or chief administrative officer of a secretariat.
Security Counsel
The division of the United Nations charged with maintaining international peace, composed of five permanent members (U.S., Russian Federation, France, United Kingdom, and the People’s Republic of China) and ten temporary members, each serving for two years.
General Assembly
The main deliberative body of the United Nations, composed of delegations from member nations.

A person or group made to bear the blame for others or to suffer in their place.

A person who discriminates against or is prejudiced or hostile toward Jews.

Partition
A division into or distribution in portions or shares.
Balfour Declaration
A statement, issued by the British government on November 2, 1917, favoring the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jews but without prejudice to the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine.
Zionism
A worldwide Jewish movement that resulted in the establishment and development of the state of Israel.
Palestine Liberation Organization
an umbrella organization for several Arab groups dedicated to the recovery of Palestine from the state of Israel and the return of refugees from the area to their homeland through diplomatic, military, and terrorist means. (PLO)
Intifada
A revolt begun in December 1987 by Palestinian Arabs to protest Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
