High brow is highly educational and cultured like songs of prays where as low brow is the opposite like Jeremy Kyle show
Two step flow theory
Where the media pass on news to the opinion leaders and then they pass it down for the normals so people will listen to there opinion leader
Preferred reading
This is when the audience response in the way the media would like them to response
Oppositional reading
This when the audience are disagreement on with the message of the text/media
Negotiated reading
This is when the audience partly agrees with the message the media is portraying
