What is a theatre in the round?
Stage where the audience is seated around all sides
What is a Proscenium arch stage?
A stage where there is an arch and the audience in front
What is a thrust stage
Where the audience is on 3 sides, the stage goes into the audience
What is a traverse stage?
Where the audience is sat on either side of the stage
What is an end on stage
Where the audience sits on one side directly facing the stage, like a proscenium arch without the arch
What is a promenade stage
There is no formal separate stage from the audience. Often in parks or social spaces
What us the role of the theatre manager
Incharge of the building including overseeing the front of house and box office staff.

Runs the backstage elements of the play and supervises backstage crew.
Organises rehearsal schedule and keeps lists of props and technical needs
Create a prompt book and call cues for performance

Operate technical equipment
